Samsung has officially started releasing the second One UI 8 beta for the Galaxy S25 series, with a list of bug fixes and performance improvements. First rolled out in late May, the One UI 8 beta had been limited to regions such as the US, the UK, Germany, and South Korea. Now, as One UI 8 Beta 2 is rolled out, Samsung is opening the beta program in India and Poland, further increasing its exposure and inching towards the stable release. The current beta update comes with the build number ZYF3 and continues to polish the user interface further while fixing some key issues that had been raised by early adopters.
Key Improvements and Fixes in One UI 8 Beta 2 for Galaxy S25
Samsung's One UI 8 Beta 2 introduces a long list of bug fixes, user interface enhancements, and application stability improvements, demonstrating the company's dedication to refining the software before its public launch. Perhaps the most significant addition is a user feedback mechanism aimed at optimizing interpreter performance, enabling Samsung to more intelligently understand user behavior and make contextual changes in the future.
Where bug fixing is concerned, Samsung has addressed a number of typical grievances. Misalignment of the "Now brief" text and a bug that makes the morning briefing screen linger have been addressed. The battery widget icon has also been enhanced, with sharper and more responsive visuals. Moreover, the issue of widget size enlargement on the lock screen has now been corrected, along with sporadic fingerprint recognition failures and Secure Folder errors affecting file transfer.
Beta 2 also resolves sound and volume problems, specifically issues that arose with Bluetooth calls within cars and gaming sessions when notifications silenced sound output. Other fixes include Galaxy AI weather and time wallpapers, gesture recognition navigation, missing Air Command icons when removing the S Pen, and alarm failures due to outdated Clock applications. Samsung has also stabilized software by updating a number of system apps, including the Camera app, so that overall performance is enhanced.
How to Get the One UI 8 Beta 2 Update on Galaxy S25
If you are currently part of the One UI 8 beta program, the second beta update will come to you over-the-air (OTA). Alternatively, you can check manually by going to Settings > Software Update on your Galaxy S25. Before proceeding with the update, it is highly advisable to back up your data, as beta releases can still contain unexpected bugs that could impact stability or usability.
Samsung’s iterative approach to beta testing ensures that One UI 8 will be highly refined by the time the stable version is released. Beta testers have the unique opportunity to experience the upcoming software early while helping the company iron out issues. If you’ve been enjoying the new design elements, system optimizations, or just the general feel of One UI 8, this update should enhance your experience even more.
